I am impressed a great deal with this reel. The fit and function is right on. The finish is great! The cutaway rotor is unique and I found that the water seals in the reel do exactly as claimed. They keep the internals protected. The handle is plastic, carbon or aluminum I can not tell, other then it is beefy and well up to the task of fighting the PIGGY BASS! I really enjoy the oversized EVA handle grip, it is extremely comfortable and allows for a good positive grip. The drag on this reel may be the best drag system on any reel. It is precise, dependable, and no jerky slip. I played with the drag setting with a Bass on and am extremely impressed.”
