The AVET MXJ 5.8 Lever Drag Casting Reel is made with 60961 T-6 marine grade aluminum with stainless steel components. Anodized for corrosion resistance and a great finished look. The lever drag has adjustable strike pre-set. This excellent reel has a patented SILENT dog and gear anti-reverse system, very reliable. Avedrag dry carbon fiber drags for awesome stopping power, smoothness and durability. It can easily handle up to 9 lbs. when the fish strikes and 14 lbs. full, with 8 related bearings. Alarm clicker. Offset machined handle arm to reduce centerline profile and cranking wobble. Large comfortable soft touch handle knob. Light, narrow spool design for optimal jig casting efficiency and less line leveling while retrieving. Matching machined aluminum rod clamp. Proudly made in the USA.
