-“Seemed easy to feed line out and cast and I felt pretty good laying that fly down gently the first time and having a fighting crappie on the line. He bent the rod pretty good in his fight but then all of a sudden this gator comes by and fights it. Gator was very young, about 4-5 foot long and after he got a death grip on the fish head, I sort of guide both fish and gator in to shore. It then did a death roll, snapped the line and took off further down the pond where my neighbor took the picture. Count me as a satisfied customer and at the moment I lay claim to the first person who caught a fish and alligator on this lightweight but excellent flyrod.”
